The Indoor Outdoor Retreat at The Marin Designers Showcase House
This project won the 2011ASID Design Excellence Award for Sustainable Residential Interior Design. The room features a Christian Liaigre Four Poster Bed, Ironies Side tables, a custom bench from Sloane Miyasato, a Dessin Fournir Chair and a Corbin Bronze Sculpture. The custom retractable doors make the bedroom and the outdoors beyond one continuous space. The design was based on the experience of standing on the deck of a container ship. Kasten Builders was the contractor who implemented the design for Cathleen Gouveia.
