The Bathroom Suite at Rose Hill Estate

The Owner of the residence desired a completely sustainable design for the en suite bathroom. The existing bathroom was converted from a standard powder room, to a large en suite bathroom consisting of a shower, water closet, pedestal sink area and an area for makeup application. The gabled dormer windows of the mansion were utilized to set the architectural alignments for each space. The custom ipe floors were added, as well as hand trowelled Venetian Grassello with colorations to celebrate the San Francisco fog. The custom tiles, plumbing fixtures, and electrical fixtures were selected with a maritime theme. Black and white photography of the surrounding seascapes and mountain terrain celebrate the surrounding area. This bathroom design won the 2011 ASID Design Excellence Award for a Sustainable Residential Design Project.
